Utility Billing
The Utility Billing Module records
utility services customers and billings, payments and
adjustments for municipal services (Water/Sewer/Solid Waste
Disposal/Electrical/ Assessment/Tax/Fire Control fee/Ready
to Serve Charge). The module details service and billing
activity and summarizes municipal or district service
accounting for posting to the General Ledger.
The module is used to charge for services, including special
charges; post cash receipts; calculate late notices, with or
without penalties; distribute deposits; transfer accounts
when necessary; and transfer or restructure routes when
necessary. The module interfaces with hand-held meter
reading devices.
The Utility Billing module can run independently or
interactively with the General Ledger, Accounts Payable
and/or Cash Management Modules, when they are installed.
